Education System in Bahamas - An Overview
Bahamas officially known as the Commonwealth of Bahamas, is located near to Cuba. It is one of the richest countries in Americas, after United States and Canada. Bahamas experiences subtropical to tropical climate.
The Education System in Bahamas is majorly based on the British System, and it is compulsory for every child between the age group of 5 to 16. As a matter of fact, the Government of Bahamas spends 20% of its money on education, thus making it one of the important fields of development.
Students from 11 to 17 years of age attend Secondary Education, which is then followed by The Bahamas Certificate of General Education.
Furthermore, many Educational opportunities are offered to the students at higher levels, which is mainly concentrated in the Caribbean network.
